  • Streetplus augments manual labor efforts with appropriate environmentally friendly equipment and practices. Our “green friendly” equipment includes battery powered sweepers, vacuums, utility vehicles, bikes and other equipment structured to keep the District clean, safe, and friendly.

  • Our “Pan and Broom” cleaning efforts focus on the collection and removal of loose litter and debris on the sidewalks and in the curb line. Every Clean Team will have a rolling trash can, fully stocked with cleaning supplies needed to address most issues.

  • The Clean Team will monitor District trash cans for overflowing trash as well as for the general condition of the trash cans. They will replace trash can liners and thoroughly sweep around each trashcan and the surrounding area and pick up loose litter. The Clean Team will also note if the area in and around the trash can needs pressure washing.

  • Weed control includes the removal of weeds and grass growing in tree grates, curb lines, flower and planter boxes, storefronts, and cracks of sidewalks and cutting back unwanted plant growth. The Clean Team will spray a “green friendly” chemical to remove and control future growth if needed.

  • Picking up loose litter is important, but deep cleaning sidewalks and storefronts is an enhanced level of cleaning that Districts need. Streetplus develops comprehensive pressure washing schedules to ensure all sidewalks are pressure washed on a regular basis. Our pressure washing services will remove gum, unpleasant odors and other stains that make each District look its best.

  • The Clean Team will identify and remove all decals, flyers, paint, posters, and stickers from public surfaces. These include sidewalks, light poles, traffic signals and electrical boxes, newspaper boxes, trash cans, planters, phone booths and benches.

  • One of the most effective ways to make a positive impact on the District is to paint street fixtures on a regular basis. Street fixtures include benches, light poles, utility boxes, electrical boxes, mailboxes, and other fixed assets in the District.

  • Our Cleaning Ambassadors can help with general planter box and hanging basket maintenance including fertilization, weed removal and regular plant and flower watering. They also collect and dispose of fallen leaves, especially during the autumn months.

  • Streetplus understands the importance of implementing an effective snow and ice removal plan. Our Ambassadors play a vital role in keeping Districts safe and welcoming during the winter months.

  • Streetplus Cleaning Ambassadors are friendly, engaging, and outgoing and are trained to represent your District in a positive way. They are a reassuring presence, giving directions and sharing information about attractions, events, and other activities occurring in your District.

  • Placemaking is a multi-faceted approach to the planning, design, and management of public spaces. Placemaking capitalizes on a local community’s assets, inspiration, and potential, with the intention of creating public spaces that promote health, happiness, and well-being.

Streetplus Ambassadors support these efforts by placing tables, chairs, and other street furniture in these spaces for the public to enjoy. They maintain the spaces by helping to keep them litter-free, clean, and welcoming.
